Is this a good setup for a gaming PC midrange?

That's a good setup that will be ideal to play …. I would not change anything …. I found Phenom X4 II a 955BE with 4gigs of OCZ RAM and a 5770 and gamed very well … The GTX 460 is much better than 5770 ….. The only thing that appears is the operating system is Windows 7 64-bit …. is a good way to go .. I have not had any hardware, program or driver incompatibility problems and yet have been running for a while …. The Phenom II you have listed is 64 bits so that any OS will work fine with it … 32 or 64 bits as there compliant ….. Scott
