frost mage vs fire mage WoW?
I’m new to the game & wondering what the major differences were between the two. Is is easy to change if i change my mind later? Which one is better for leveling? (using a zygor guide a friend gave me to lvl btw)
The major differences between all 3 mages are the type of magic they use. Fire mages use fire spells and focus on casting big nukes that do large damage, frost mages use ice spells and focus on doing decent damage but also impairing a targets movement speed, and arcane mages use arcane magic that is great for raiding and dungeons. Best for leveling is definitely frost in my opinion but yours could be different you see, frost slows creatures down allowing you to get more hit in before you get hit. As a mage you are a glass cannon, if you get hit it hurts. Also with the use of glyphs a frost mage gets a permanent elemental pet to assist you. I don’t know myself how good pet holds aggro but with all other pet classes the pet can keep aggro for the most part.
